Join us for this speaker's event to celebrate International Day of Women and Girls In Science. This event is open to ALL students, and is a collaborative event hosted by the Social Sciences & Health Faculty and the Sciences Faculty'
We are pleased to announce that Dr Lauren Martin (Department of Geography with a background in Philosophy, Political Geography, and Gender and Women's Studies) will be talking about the basis of feminist theories and her experience of being a working parent, female political geographer and Dr Linda Arrighi (Department of Psychology with a background in EDI, neuroscience, and gender differences in cognitive performance) will be discussing the underrepresentation of women in the STEM field, stereotypes and gender bias stemming from gendered cognitive differences.
We hope this speaker's event will be an enlightening session for students who are interested in engaging in feminist enquiry or joining the STEM working environment in the future.
