Whether you’re joining Durham for the first time or returning for another year, this is your big welcome- or welcome back. Think of it as your gateway to endless ways to make the most of your Durham experience.
It’s here! We’re excited to announce this year’s Welcome Fairs, spread across two action-packed days 🎉
Day one is all about the Sports and Activities Fair.
From rowing to rock climbing, swing dancing to netball, whether you’re a pro or just curious, come and find your sport on day one! But that’s not it; all your favourite interest groups will be there too. Think Anime, Taylor Swift Society, Hot Chocolate Society… whatever you’re into (or want to try), you’re bound to find a group you click with!
Day two is all about student groups! We’re talking culture, faith, music, theatre & volunteering at the Clubs & Societies Fair 🌍🎭🎶
From Women in Business to the Law Society, Student Theatre to the University Orchestra, Hispanic Society to Islamic Society, Day Two is your chance to explore the communities, creativity, and causes that inspire you. Whether you want to perform, volunteer, celebrate culture, explore faith, or join an academic network, you’ll find your people here.
🎟️ You’ll need a separate ticket for each day of the Fairs.
The first hour of each day is reserved as our Accessibility Hour. During this time, we will keep stimulation to a minimum to help create a calmer and more accessible environment for everyone.
