WorldFest aims to engage members of the local and regional community alongside members of Durham University staff and students to celebrate the brilliant work which is done to celebrate diversity, unity, and the rich tapestry of human heritage.
WorldFest 2025 is back - bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever! This spectacular event brings together cultures from around the world to celebrate diversity, unity and the rich tapestry of human heritage.
Students, staff and residents are all welcome to attend the event at Durham Students' Union at Dunelm House.
Join the WorldFest celebration at Durham Students' Union on Sunday 2 March. From taster sessions to mouthwatering cuisine, this is your chance to travel the globe without leaving campus. Connect with cultures, experience traditions, and celebrate the power of diversity in a festival that unites us all. The event opens to children, young people, and their families from 14:00 and will then open to the wider community from 14.45 until 18.30.

- Cultural Performances: Enjoy mesmerising dance, music, and theatre performances from various countries, showcasing traditional and contemporary art forms.
- International Cuisine: Savour a culinary journey with food stalls offering delectable dishes from around the globe. From spicy street food to gourmet delicacies, there’s something to tantalise every palate.
